CALL TO ORDER:

Bonnie Henriksen, Chair, called the meeting to order

Marla Beaty motioned approval of minutes, Luann Gislason second.

The committee discussed new improvements for prizes for the people participating in the golf outing. Karen Lingren suggested a new brown bag prize. What she suggested was to put equal prizes in brown bags to conceal what is inside. The committee agreed to do this for the Fun Day. The committee also discussed who might donate the brown bags and what should be put in them.

The consensus was the committee agreed that the material presented gave a good picture of the economic impact of Blandin Paper and Rapids Power LLC. That type of information is very valuable as the process continues regarding the construction of the new Power Plant.

The April 1 State Forester needs to have his spot rescheduled. Then in January, the Wells Fargo economist is coming in to speak.

The Fish workshop scheduled for March 12, 2002 is cancelled and rescheduled to May 2^nd. Then the following May 7^th or 9^th, is the Fish Sticks day. The fee is $40 a session, for each person. Contact Jerry Snustad.

The committee also discussed moving one of the luncheons that are originally in the afternoons to after working hours. The committee wants the Chamber of Commerce to be more connected. The committee suggested an "After Work Happy Hour". For the format, the committee discussed having a cash bar and serve ourderves. However, everyone can sit down for 20 min. while a speaker talks, educational - comedy. The Social Hour will tentatively take place April 25^th at the Sawmill. The hours are 4:30 - ?.

The committee members also have to talk to at least three people each before the next committee meeting. The purpose is to find out what topics people might be interested in hearing about at the "Happy Hour".

The next meeting will be held at the Depot Conference Room on Tuesday, April 9^th, 2002 at 8:30 a.m.
