CALL TO ORDER
Bonnie Henriksen, Chair, called
the meeting to order.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Committee members amended the October 16, 2001
Program Committee minutes to read that "about" ten
items are to be auctioned at the Annual Dinner in
January, rather than "no less than" ten items.
Ron Oleheiser made a motion to
approve the minutes, as amended, from the October
16, 2001 meeting, Sherry Frick seconded; motion
carried.
ANNUAL DINNER
Bonnie Henriksen shared with committee members
that the Annual Dinner date has been rescheduled
to Saturday, January 26, 2002. A grant for the
speaker’s fee was not obtained, thus the program
has changed dramatically. The dinner will now
feature Tim Gabrielson, Illusionist.
Taking into consideration the proposed budget
for the dinner, the committee will have to obtain
sponsorships for 20 to 24 tables. Committee
members reviewed the membership list and selected
businesses and organizations to which sponsorship
opportunity letters will be sent. It was decided
that it would not be feasible to follow up in
person considering the great number of letters
being sent. Committee members will divide the list
of sponsorship letter recipients and contact them
by telephone.
Marty Licke and Karen Lindgren agreed to
collaborate regarding the planning of the Annual
Dinner’s silent auction.
Karen Lindgren presented two wildlife photo
prints that are being offered as donations to be
auctioned. Committee members discussed setting
minimum bids, as requested by the photographer who
would be donating her work.
