REACTION AND REVIEW OF JUNE 4 LUNCHEON PROGRAM
Committee members discussed the speaker and topic featured at the June luncheon. It was agreed that the program was very informative for those that were not familiar with the riverfront planning and development.

GOLF OUTING & FUN DAY
Committee members reviewed and compared the Golf Outing budgets for 2000 and 2001. Some signage and other miscellaneous items will be available for use from last year's event; some expenses will be less.

Bud Stone updated the committee as to what hole sponsors and prize sponsors are already lined up for this year. It also appears that there are 60+ golfers registered, or are committed to register, to play.

The games and the schedule for the day will be very similar to last year. A new event/contest this year will be the Best and Worst Dressed Golfer. There will be four winners - a worst dressed male and female and a best dressed male and female. The judges lined up for this event are Tom Osborn, Dave Ewens, and Lynn DeGrio.

Recognition and publicity for the Golf Outing sponsors / donors was discussed. The hole and prize sponsors / donors will be recognized in the next Chamber of Commerce Newsletter. Sponsored and donated prizes will be identified when on display at the venue.

Derek Rolle and Ken Ericson will be contacting Ogle's regarding sponsorship of the Oasis Tent.

Annual Dinner

BRAINSTORMING
Marla Beaty suggested a technology program. She spoke of the possibility of an e-commerce topic, a topic including small-business global competitiveness. The Technology Center located in Central Square Mall was brought up as a possible source for a speaker.

ANNUAL DINNER
A date for the annual dinner was discussed. The dinner will be held after the first of the year, either in January or February. A specific date was not decided upon.

The venue for the dinner was also discussed. Weather and driving conditions may be a concern if Ruttger's Sugar Lake Lodge is considered for a venue. Derek Rolle suggested putting it up for bid and deciding discussing it further when the RFPs are returned.

Bonnie Henriksen spoke of the possibility of bringing in a speaker from Charter House Publications regarding the Fish Philosophy. The fee would be more than has been budgeted for in the past. Bonnie will follow up on the speaker and the options that may be available for funding.

Last year's Annual Dinner did not bring in the projected amount of revenue. Ways to increase revenue and stay within the dinner budget were discussed. Bud Stone suggested a silent auction. Bud had discussed the idea with Tony Serratore and they agreed that utilizing donated items, or items acquired at a significantly reduced price, a silent auction would be a great way to entertain and to create revenue. Committee members shared their ideas for possible items to be put up for auction, these items included: hosted wine tasting, catered theme dinner, local artisan works of art, and items from businesses such as Red Willow or Frame Up.

Meeting Adjourned.

NEXT MEETING
The next meeting will be held at the Depot Conference Room on Tuesday, July 10, 2001 at 8:15am.
