CALL TO ORDER
Bonnie Henriksen, Chair, called the meeting to order.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Marty Licke moved to approve the minutes from the June 19, 2001 meeting, Derek Rolle seconded; motion carried.

REACTION AND REVIEW OF JULY 9 LUNCHEON PROGRAM
Committee members discussed the speaker and topic featured at the July luncheon. Those that attended the luncheon agreed that it was well done and that the turnout for the transportation topic that was featured was excellent.

GOLF OUTING & FUN DAY
Committee members discussed final plans for the Golf Outing. The Oasis sponsorship has yet to be filled and "splitting" the sponsorship was discussed, but no action was decided upon.

The number of volunteers to work the games and help with set up, etc. was discussed. Derek Rolle asked that the volunteers be at Eagle Ridge Golf Course at 8:00 AM on the day of the Golf Outing. 

Bud Stone questioned the availability of the carts for all of the golfers. Derek Rolle has spoken to Gordy Skaar and was told by Mr. Skaar that it would not be a problem to accommodate all of the golfers with carts.

Committee members discussed what prizes had already been, or had not been, acquired. Committee members will continue to contact businesses and drop off at the Chamber offices the donations they receive.

Ken Ericson has agreed to again emcee the raffle drawings.

September 10 - Chris Chandler, Linking Learning to Life

October 1 - Police Chief Phil Major and Sheriff Pat Medure

Annual Dinner

BRAINSTORMING
The Mount Itasca Biathlon program was discussed as a possible topic/presentation for either the November of December luncheon. Bud Stone will follow up on this possibility. 

Another possible topic would be group insurance, with John Chell from ARDC being the featured speaker.

Bonnie Henriksen spoke to Chad Haatvedt from Up and Running Computer Services regarding a technology program. A technology program could possibly include a presentation regarding the web site and the potential for e-commerce. The web site developers, Midwest Captions, would be contacted for their input. Committee members support the idea of using a program to present and promote the new Chamber of Commerce/CVB web site to the membership.

ANNUAL DINNER
Bonnie Henriksen does not have enough information to confirm the speaker for the Annual Dinner, as of yet. Committee members will begin looking for donations for the silent auction. Bud Stone has contacted Steve Downing of MacRostie Art Center and a donation will hopefully be made by one or more local artisans.
