Chamber: Committees

The Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce has eight formal committees with more than 200 volunteer members. The committees are responsible for creating the Chamber’s annual Plan of Action based on their missions and goals. The committees and their missions are listed below:

AMBASSADORS

To serve as highly-visible, good-will representatives of the Grand Rapids area by creating positive public exposure.

AREA BUSINESS AND TOURISM

To be the voice of the business community, promote tourism and commerce with chamber members in the Grand Rapids area.

PROGRAMS

With a goal of communicating relevant community news and information, and offering events for fun and celebration to all Chamber members.

FORESTRY

To keep the Chamber membership and the community informed about Forestry Affairs and be actively involved in supporting the Chambers policies as they relate to the management of federal, state, county and private lands; the forest industries and the economy of the State of Minnesota.

GOVERNMENT

With a goal of serving as the lead organization in public affairs and keeping the Chamber members informed and represented on local, state and national governmental issues of importance.

MEMBERSHIP FEEDBACK

Establish and strengthen communication in an effort to support and advocate for businesses and jobs located in our community.
